The brief

To drive awareness and consideration of Monzo Business among micro-businesses at a time when seasonal demand for business banking is at its highest.

The solution

Sail through your business banking

A campaign which communicated "whatever your business, Monzo makes running it easier".

For this, we drew on a wealth of qualitative research collected during our interviews with Monzo’s current micro-business clients, and used this to segment our audiences into three ‘money mindsets’. This segmentation then directed our messaging, choosing feature and benefit combinations that help solve specific problems to the different groups - creating value for the audiences watching.

We produced an animation-led through-the-line campaign on VOD, paid social cut downs, digital (publishers and programmatic) and Spotify audio ads, driving both awareness and consideration through tailored product points and reasons to believe.

My role

As creative lead on the project, I led the strategic and creative direction. As well as ensuring the delivery of the project and managing the team, I also devised the campaign messaging strategy, scripted the films, wrote the copy for the digital assets, directed the audio recordings and both the audio and visual edits (including sound design).
