Mind UK x Don't Panic

The challenge 

How do we authentically and effectively create something for a community’s mental health and wellbeing which to date hasn’t been supported or acknowledged?

The brief 

To create a brand identity for a resource created for the Black community to access in support of their mental health and wellbeing.

The solution 

BAYO - a space to find collectives, organisations and services from across the UK – run by and for the Black community – to support their mental health and wellbeing.

Bayo was funded by National Emergencies Trust and is run by The Ubele Initiative in partnership with Mind, Young Minds and Black Thrive.

My role 

My role as the lead creative was to head up the conceptual development of the platform, leading to a name and strap line based on the concept ‘A space to find’. Working alongside our designer, we created a visual identity that spoke to the Black community, while aligning with the platform.
